I am Donna-Lee Filer, the sole artisan for Donna-Lee Designs jewelry business in Wilmington, Delaware.  With the support of my husband Ken, I left corporate America and converted my jewelry hobby into a full time endeavor.  My specialization with fused Dichroic glass, beach glass and silver are core to my product line.

I have enjoyed working with silver jewelry and design since high school, first, as a hobby, and now professionally.   I started doing stained glass work in 2002, saving all those scrap glass pieces from my projects.  It added up quickly for a beginner glass cutter.  What to do with this glass?

I joined a glass fusing class and realized a new career path.  While perfecting my skills with fused glass, I took several PMC and Art Clay classes in 2004, to incorporate their products into my jewelry lines.  I received senior level certification as an Art Clay Instructor in May 2005.

Our house in the Outer Banks of North Carolina added a new dimension to my jewelry line.  Collecting “Beach Glass” and turning these beautiful ocean gems into works of wearable art

I love sharing and teaching people how to make beautiful jewelry.  It doesn't matter if it is fusing glass, working with silver or wire wrapping beach glass; I enjoy seeing the joy and fascination as my students complete their projects.
